How We Roll: The Process
New participants are interviewed by one of our qualified staff. Our intake process involves identifying the participants needs, what the individual would like to focus on, and development of a plan to reach their goals. Examples include, completing high school equivalent education, seeking further education, learning to drive, gaining employment, meeting new people and creating new friendship groups. Each participant is case managed by a qualified staff member to ensure their plan fits their needs, and that they have the supports in place to successfully achieve their goals
Core Services
Open Haven Hubs
Open Haven provides a safe and confidential place for women who are survivors of domestic violence to gain emotional and practical support.
Our clients can visit the HUB on a weekly basis to meet other women in a supportive environment, share their journey and discuss or update their Restoration Plan with a case worker. This connection with others is a key part of the process as they build a new life.
Restoration Plans
A restoration plan is established for our client on their first meeting. It is part of the needs assessment. Our case workers understand their needs and create a plan that will meet those long term needs. After that first meeting the plan is updated at every appointment to track how they are going and ensure that progress is being made. If needs change then the plans are adjusted accordingly.
Drive to Thrive
Drive to Thrive provides driving lessons to empower women to obtain their driver’s licence, fostering independence and increasing access to employment and essential resources. This program helps build confidence and opens up new opportunities for self-sufficiency and freedom.
